Here’s how to get registered: (Disclaimer: We apologize that the registration process is a little confusing! We’ve done our best to provide step-by-step instructions, but please let us know if you have any questions):

  • Go to
  • Once you’ve added 1 (or more if needed) person to your cart, select “View Cart.” Below “Cart Totals” is a red box that reads “Proceed to Checkout.” Select it.

  • Select the option to pay via credit card and select the red box below to Continue to Payment.
  • Once you have successfully registered, fill out the Medical Release Form attached here: medical-form-refuge-2016. Please return this form to Jay or Cathy.

Again, we apologize for the complicated process as we partner with ACCYM in getting students registered for Conference events. If you have any questions, please call Jay!

Blessings, Katye

I don’t know, but…

“Young people need caring adults who listen to and validate their questions and struggles rather than shutting them down. They need adults who will enter with them into gray spaces of life and faith, rather than whitewashing the walls of doubt with bleached certainty.” -Brad Griffin

We hope you’ll check out this great post from the Fuller Youth Institute! It’s an encouraging reminder for parents, mentors, and all of us who are on the journey of faith with young people in some way… If this sparks any questions for you and your family, we hope you’ll reach out to one of us so that we can be there with you in the hard questions!

Love, Jay and Katye

See you tonight!

Although I know many of you are sad for the homework and tests to start back up again, Jay and I hope that this year will be full of learning and growing for you, full of making new friends and deepening old friendships, full of moments that will lead you to discover the interests and passions that will shape the rest of your life and the person God has uniquely created you to be!

We’re also excited because a new school year means it’s time to kick off another amazing year with phyouth!!! We hope that you’ll join us this coming Sunday night, August 21st, from 5-7:30pm at Big Rock Fun Park for our annual Back to School Bash! We’ll enjoy some food, fun, and fellowship – and we hope you’ll invite your friends to come check out the awesome community that is phyouth!

There’s no place like home!

It sure feels good to be back at phyouth! After being away at seminary for three years, I am so excited to be returning to PHUMC and the Youth Ministry staff! For those of you who I already know, I can’t wait to continue developing the wonderful relationships we created and to hear how God has been moving in your life. For those of you who I don’t know yet, I am so excited to meet you and to hear your story. And I’m looking forward to sharing life and loving Jesus with each and every one of you as we journey together through this thing called faith, seeking to love God and love others in all that we say and do.

We’re going to be welcoming our rising 6th graders into their NEW home at phyouth as Confirmation kicks off on August 21st and with a Confirmation Luncheon on August 28th! We hope you’ll all come to Sunday School on the 21st as we make them feel welcome at phyouth!

We’re also sending off our graduated seniors into their new journeys as they begin their college and career paths – but we hope you always remember that you have a home here and that you are loved!

Join us for our BACK TO SCHOOL BASH on Sunday, August 21st from 5-7:30pm at Big Rock Fun Park! We’ll have food, lots of activities, and an opportunity to connect with old and new friends as we kick off a new school year! HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!
